European Disc Golf Festival 2024
Virossa Maetagusessa järjestetään joukkuefrisbeegolfin MM-kilpailut keskiviikosta lauantaihin 21.-24.8. Kilpailuihin ottaa osaa yhteensä 17 maata. Edellisistä joukkuefrisbeegolfin MM-kilpailuista vuonna 2017 Suomen joukkueella oli kotiintuomisinaan hopeamitalit.
The upgraded championship-level 18-hole pop-up course, designed by Seppo Paju, will see further tweaks after the European Disc Golf Championships 2023 and the 2024 European Disc Golf Festival. The Rockstar 3.0 is set to offer an exciting experience for both players and spectators.
Rata sijaitsee katsojia ajatellen erinomaisella alueella. Lauluväljakin tapahtuma-alue on valmis vastaanottamaan tuhansittain katsojia. Ensi vuonna alueella kilpaillaan Major-arvoturnaus ennen Suomessa pelattavia MM-kilpailuja. Siinä missä tämän vuoden European Open toimi kenraaliharjoituksena tulevan vuoden MM-kilpailulle, European Disc Golf Festival on kenraaliharjoitus tulevan vuoden Major-kilpailulle.
Viron Kristin Tattar on frisbeegolfin maailmanmestari
European Disc Golf Festival kokoaa jälleen Euroopan huippujen lisäksi myös Yhdysvaltojen terävimmän kärjen samalle näyttämölle. Mukana ovat käytännössä kaikki viime viikonlopun European Openissa pelanneet maailman tähdet. Radassa on hyvin paljon samoja piirteitä kun mitä European Openin radat tarjosivat.
Villmannin suurimmaksi haastajaksi on ehdottomasti nostettava Joona Heinänen. Heinänen sai vihdoin ensimmäisen isomman voittonsa reiluun kahteen vuoteen viime viikonlopun Järva Openissa. Peli kulki Virossa jo aiemmin tällä kaudella, kun Europen Disc Golf Festivalista irtosi kolmas sija.
Myös pelaajat kuten Mauri Villmann (EST) sekä Dennis Augustsson (SWE) kannattaa ottaa seurantaan. Villmann on pelannut kotikentillä Virossa erinomaista frisbeegolfia ja sijoittui jaetulle yhdeksännelle sijalle European Openissa. Augustsson otti uransa suurimman voiton juurkin Lauluväljakin radalla, vuoden 2023 EM-kilpailuissa.
Tallinnan alueelle mahtuu paljon loistavia frisbeegolfratoja, jonne kulku kannattaa hoitaa taksilla, omalla autolla tai muilla vastaavilla kulkuvälineillä. Radat sijaitsevat noi 10-20 minuutin ajomatkan päästä kisapaikasta ja Tallinnan keskustasta.
The 2024 European Disc Golf Festival
The European Disc Golf Festival 2025 is set to take place from July 17-20 at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, two weeks before the Pro Worlds in Nokia and Tampere. The distance between Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is just a mere 80 km.

Frisbeegolfin EM-kilpailut järjestetään Virossa, Tallinnan laululavan ympäristössä keskiviikosta lauantaihin 16.-19.8.2023. Tallinnassa kilpaillaan avoimessa, naisten avoimessa ja alle 19-vuotiaiden luokissa. Mastereiden EM-kilpailut järjestetään Unkarissa Tallinnan kilpailuja seuraavalla viikolla.

The European Disc Golf Festival will take place in Estonia at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds from July 26 to 28, 2024. This is an unprecedented opportunity to enjoy top-level disc golf right in the heart of the capital of a country. In front of the eyes of enthusiasts, disc golfers who regularly make headlines on the world stage will compete. Whether it's the reigning world champion Isaac Robison, fans favorite Simon Lizotte, the powerful thrower Eagle McMahon, Ricky "Sockibomb" Wysocki, or another disc wizard high in the world rankings. One thing is certain – it will be a tight competition!
